POS Postings Scan Report

The Point of Sale (POS) Posting Scan Report allows you to select the type (adjustments, corrections, transfers), building, operator, department and specific postings types generated from the Point of Sale (POS) system.

Select POS Postings Scan Report from the Reports section of the Main Point of Sale (POS) menu - Overview.

Select the appropriate reporting options for the Report.

Posting: By default the box for POS postings will be checked.

Note: You can also generate an A/R Posting Scan Report , a Hotel Posting Scan Report or a Condo Posting Scan Report from this screen, using the check boxes at the top of the screen.

There are several options below this to help generate the desired report:

Select a Report Type:

 All for all postings, this is the default option set. It may be altered to Corrections for only corrected postings, Adjustments for only adjusted postings, Transfers for only postings transferred to another folio, or Tax Exempt for only tax exempt postings.

Select a Date Range for the report.

Sort by determines how the report is sorted. The default option is Posting Type, but may be altered to sort by Date or room #.

Group by determines the order of data displayed in the report. The default option is All.

Use Server assigned to Check: This box may be checked to show postings by Server when a different user is acting as Cashier.

To filter the report further,

Use the check boxes in the

Select Buildings,

Select Operators,

Select Departments, and

Posting Types lists, and click Press to apply the filter.

When finished, click the orange button Show Results, at the top of the page, to generate the report.

Once generated, the report shows the posting date, post department and type, amount, and other information relevant to Point of Sale (POS) postings.

By default, the report is generated in PDF form and opens in a separate browser window. From there you can select to save or print the report, among other options. If you prefer, you can select the Generate report to Excel for exporting check box to print the report in Microsoft Excel format instead of PDF.

 

NOTE: The generated report appears as a pop-up window through your browser. If your browser is set to block pop-ups, you may receive a warning banner at the top of the browser. Click this banner and select to allow pop-ups so that you can view the report.
